Here’s another acrylic painting I started the other day. 

All my life I’ve painted on nothing but canvas (with acrylics, anyway,) because it just seems like the “proper” thing to do. With this painting, and even the last one I posted a progress shot of, I’ve deviated away from that and now I paint on wood boards. It’s AMAZING. The paints go on so much smoother, they blend better, you don’t have to deal with doing like 4 coats of paint to fill in all the little white pores/specks that canvas causes, AND (and!) I can draw over the paint with pencil after it’s dry to mark corrections I need to make! I could never do that before with canvas.

I am never going back now :> I’m gonna need to make a run to home depot now and get a bunch of wood planks because painting has magically become so much more enjoyable. I’m overflowing with ideas for future projects.

I was so disappointed that there were almost no acoustic versions to be found of her songs from the Fame Monster, because her acoustic versions are beautiful. This makes me so happy :) hopefully there will be more to come from BTW instead!
